Martha and Bill Hayes

We take great delight in working together to produce our various clay works. Living in a rural county like Mathews, VA gives us the space and quiet needed to create.
We enjoy the production routine we have to produce the functional pots people can use on an everyday basis. And we also enjoy creating the one of a kind pieces found in Bill's raku for folks who simply want to enjoy a pot for art's sake.
Color, vivid and strong, is found in all forms of our clay work from the oxide washes used in our stoneware production to the intense metallic blues and burgundy Bill produces in his raku.
We feel truly blessed to work in the beautiful place we have and to be able to work together doing what we love to do - make pots.
