Located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the working studio and gallery of Deb Babcock, Blue Sky Pottery, features the work of Deb as well as a dozen other local ceramic artists. On display and for sale in the gallery are one-of-a-kind creative works in porcelain, and stoneware, raku, and sculptural pieces.

Deb left the corporate marketing world in 2000 and began working in pottery, taking classes through the local college as well as summer workshops with such guest instructors as Julia Galloway, Sylvie Granatelli, Meira Mathison, Clary Ilian, Sarah Jaeger, and Bonnie Seeman.

She works exclusively in porcelain, electric fired to Cone 6. Deb is represented by Spectrum Gallery in Estes Park, Colorado, and by StudioGallery27 in Steamboat Springs.

Deb has participated in juried and invitational shows around the country and has been featured in several local publications.

She is a founding member of the Steamboat Clay Artisans, a group of approximately 40 potters in northwestern Colorado. This group sponsors an annual fund-raiser, the Soup Bowl Supper, as well as group sales, seminars, and group purchasing of materials.
